I don’t know what these guys had that would cause the SB to 3 bet, then the BB to flat the 3 bet, but apparently my small 4 bet was too scary.

It’s the reason that I’ve started 4 betting AK small as well.

It’s nice when you have a 4 way pot and you flop a set. Unfortunately no one bet the flop. Fortunately a good card came on the turn for me to lead (UTG later claimed to have AK). Unfortunately a 5 comes on the river, scaring me a bit as 89 has a straight. God knows why the button doesn’t bet the flop. What’s he going to do if a king or queen comes on the turn? There aren’t many cards that are going to improve his hand. Is he afraid of being check-raised off his hand? Is he planning to call down, treating the paired J as a bluff catcher?

So after a week 6 max is going pretty well. I might add a table or two, but it’s going to be at least a month before I try moving up to $50nl 6 max. And before I do so I’ll probably go back and play some full ring again
at all three levels.

And, on another topic, I’m gonna start tracking my cigarette intake in here.

🙂

It is my blog, so I can do what I want, I guess. As the say, it’s easy to quit; I’ve done it hundreds of times ….

At this point I’ve smoked well over half my life. I’ve always been a light-weight smoker, averaging 5 or 6 cigarettes a day but I’ve never managed to quit for longer than 3 weeks.

Two days ago I started the day with a Nicorette, then ended up having 2 cigs in the evening.

Yesterday a total of 3, with no Nicorette at all. Obviously I don’t have a big physical addiction to the nicotine.

Today, 1 cig, starting a Nicorette right now.
