Hello World, it’s March 17, 2009

What’s happened is that I’m playing more poker, playing more regularly, playing more focused. Meanwhile, my philosophical meanderings continue, which is what my main blog has become.

So I came up with the idea of creating a sub-blog, somewhere to keep only daily grind or daily play thoughts, in note form. In many ways, this is a return to the original idea and structure, back when I sent myself emails to try to keep track of my thoughts.

As I envision it right now, the main blog will sometimes draw ideas for further investigation out of these daily-ish entries.

In the main blog I don’t like to post more than two or three entries per week, and any extras get scheduled for later publishing. But during the past two months, I’ve been writing more than that, so I’ve got scheduled posts into the future. Because of that, there are entries appearing time-lagged in the main blog, and might seem obvious if compared with this part of the blog. At the moment, I’m fine with that. For the future, I’ll have to wait and see.

For the uninitiated, at the end of January I decided I wanted to work on my full ring, full stack, multi-tabling game. With my bankroll at that time I was considering taking stabs at short stacking $50nl as I had a very consistent run at $25. Instead I chose to drop down, to $10 tables so that I could fool around and essentially rebuild my full stack game while trying to improve my use of the HUD.
