Carnival of board and card games

Some time back I posted an offer to host a blog carnival. Blog carnivals are situations where someone who has an existing blog will post summaries of posts from other blogs so that readers of the first blog might find something interesting to read on the second blog.

My offer was to host a carnival of board and card games. I didn’t know what kind of interest it might generate, but I have an interest in learning how fans of other games think about their game. I was looking for chess, Scrabble, Monopoly, bridge, pretty much anything except video games as video games have lots of their own coverage.

I received a number of totally off-topic submissions, which I’m not going to post because, well, because they had nothing to do with what I was offering to post, but here’s the closest to what I was hoping for. Though it’s still a video game, just online rather than PSP or WII. Maybe Scrabble, chess, bridge players don’t maintain blogs? Or they don’t talk about them in their personal blogs? I’ll keep trying, hoping to find some.

Anyway, from mmorpgtips:

  • Are you a big fan of pets in World of Warcraft? Did you know that not only are these pets cute and fun to collect, but they are also a good source of gold in WoW? I have a submission for you: Dancing With the Poker Stars. Enjoy!

Heh, well, that’s a nice one, Zeus. Definitely more relevant than a lot of other submissions that I received.

PokerStars is my main site, but I don’t think I’ve ever done that dance. It looks like the Party Poker dance from the TV commercial.
