In the well

There have been a few times that I’ve received email from people reading my blog. Usually these are relative beginners, respecting my opinions (thanks!) and asking for some advice or thoughts on some poker play.
I made an offer, and the offer still stands, to sign up at Full Tilt using my affiliate connection and I will help you get started with installation, setup, finding games to play and some hand history review. This only works if you’ve never signed up with an account there. I play there little myself these days as I’m working on clearing a bonus elsewhere and I’m a little disappointed in the whole affiliate thingy. It probably is more useful for a site that has high volume traffic like a poker forum.
Anyway, there have been other emails from people asking questions or wondering about what I think about how they played a particular hand, so this post is to encourage any reader to do the same. If you have a particular situation or a particular hand that you have questions about, or have been playing and would like a review of a session or sit and go, send me an email. At the time of writing this post I’ve played casually for a couple of years, the highest buyins online of $50 cash tables and $10+1 tournaments (well, plus one $76 turbo sit and go that I won a ticket to) so anything of those levels or below I would be happy to offer my thoughts. And my bankroll is entirely made up of winnings. I’ve cashed out more than my original $50 deposit and any other deposits have come from the bankroll on other sites.
What I have done in the past is occasionally to ask friends about hands if they are particularly interesting hands just to get another opinion, and I’ve also turned some analysis into blog posts here. In every case I send something back with specific comments and my thoughts.
I like to just think about poker (obv), so I’m happy if you give me something to think about!
